She'd wed him never

I shouldn't be drawing anything in this period of time, let alone uploading something newly created. Since the prompt can also be understood a "one-sided love", there's no way I can pass up the oppotunity to draw the man who has to attend the wedding of the one he loves. The main male character in this situation, who can be thought of as the long time friend of the bride, who can also be placed as a friend of broom. The broom has to leave the girl that he loves behind for the duty of his family or of his nation along with a promise of their wedding the day he comes back. The female character now left in the care of the broom's friend, who has loved her for a very long time and would do anything to keep her happy. Her loneliness and kindness lit a hope in the main character's heart, which is one day, she'll see who was there by her side all along and fall for him. So after a certain amount of time, long enough for his hope to grow deeply, he gathers up all his courage and decides to tell her his feelings and ask for her hand. But before any of that could happen, he sees his friend who has come home and the smile of the one he loves has never shone so brightly. That's when he realized that her hand was never his to take.
